Located in the backyard of our Fairfield Township home, our goal for 2010 is to become certified by the National Wildlife Federation as an official Backyard Wildlife Habitat.
We have more than three dozen Ohio native plant species, both straight and cultivars, with straight species making up more than half of the Habitat.
Lacy Bean comes from the middle name of my daughter, and the nickname for my son. It is also the name used for my wife's portrait photography business.

Cat Update
Some are starting to eat the tissue paper that lies just beneath the lid in their cups; this is supposed to be a precursor to wanting to pupate.
This is a very nerve-wracking time as I need them to be making chrysalis between now and Monday in order to try and meet my target date of having adult butterflies by the 12th of June . . .
